Collateral event

RomArt 2015 includes, in addition to the many talents, two solo exhibitions tied to two major landmarks in painting and photography:

Ennio Calabria

Visions
Fantastiche trame dell’invisibile

by Francesco Gallo Mazzeo

Ennio Calabria

A painting that writes with dreams, with the appearances, with the whispers and silences, with a chromaticity that is always a limit point between the revelation, in the arms of an enigma and revelation in the eyes of an indefinable brightness. In a profound and unrelenting connection with the voices within and with ghostly images, visions and visions come out that belong to no one in particular, but they are like a syntax and grammar open to all, that everyone can spell, if he can enter the labyrinthine world of  Ennio Calabria, a world lightly almost metaphysical, pushed up at an endless contemplation, but always with the feet on the ground. So it is allowed to take a break from the daily uproar and enter into unknown worlds where time never passes, or rather doesn’t spend anymore, because there are no clocks, relentless machines addressed to the past and to oblivion, but a great return, a trace of existence as well as of persistence, to see even in the black emptiness and hear the silence and see … see (…).

Fabio Donato

Imaginary
Invenzioni e storie di vita

by Francesco Gallo Mazzeo

fabio donato

Photography for Fabio Donato is a relentless stroke of light on the real visible and on the invisible one, a sketching out a connection of the universe that is inside us and of what surrounds us, with a masterly ability of soundings that in the game of light and color, highlights and hides the implications of an imagination that the naked eye may lose, while the photographic eye catches them and shows them in all its capacity for invention and assembly that is not natural or imitative, but it is ” other “, complete with a confirmation and astonishment. Acknowledgement to be and to be still, astonishment at the focus of an indelible but important symbolic exchange, which is not subsiding ever, because it belongs to the stories, to the lives of all of us who end up being told.
