SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST

A Danish figurative artist living and working in Lucca, Italy.  I work with the material in question and a fascination for the human body until the subject matter starts to have a life of its own, challenging my instincts. Like my hero Francis Bacon, I have not attended an art school which means exhibiting is the most important aspect to my art. It is also the most enjoyable and I like to use my architecture background to strengthen the connection between the work and the space. I am inspired by Michelangelo, who also worked across different creative fields including architecture. I feel it is important to learn from the different creative areas, which is why I decided to study architecture, while still attending art courses and small art schools. I am a graduate of the Aarhus School of Architecture and intern at Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG.
