SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST

Maja Vukina Bogović was born in 1977 in Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated from the graphic department as a painter-graphic artist in the class of Professor Frana Paro with the cycle of paintings “The Promised Land” 2000 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In 2010 she graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb with a degree in librarianship and thus rounded up her two love: art and book. In 2000, he was a member of the Gutenberg Museum Press and worked on the theme “Gutenberg 2000” in Mainz (Germany). She conducted a study semester at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (USA) where she completed her graduate thesis work. Participant is the Vrbnik graphic academy and field teaching in Motovun. From 2013 he is the president of the Cultural Council of Krapina-Zagorje County. It also writes a storybook for children. He is a member of the Croatian Society of Fine Artists since 2000. Since 1997, he has participated in numerous group (twenty five) and independent (fourteen) exhibitions, as well as the winner of the Zagrebacka Bank award for the best graduation of graphic artists.Her painting is pronounced color on the border between figurative and abstract. He often combines several techniques and deals with textures and drawing. The Adriatic Sea is her great love and inspiration. In 2015, he opens his painting studio “Cityartstudio” in Zabok. The expansion of studies is under way to create a creative center for various arts. She is always full of energy and desire for creative creation.
