Tammy Boyce is a fine art photographic artist based in Melbourne.
Her work explores the connection to children and their fantasy world of play, often collaborating with her son as her muse.
Through her current body of work, Boyce considers the altered behaviour of preteen boys and captures their natural beauty in a setting where they do not feel the need to conform to social pressures.
Empowering young male ballet dancers, helping those who may struggle to represent themselves to their peers and mature independently. By exploring the beauty and freedom of self that comes with dressing up and performing, she hopes to reinforce a positive sense of selfhood.
Boyce has been a finalist in the 2016 William and Winifred Bowness Prize and the 2017 Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award, both notable prizes within Australia.
