La Notte

The Night

Questa opera è stata ispirata da un passo del romanzo di Hemingway, "A farewell to arms": "So che la notte non è la stessa del giorno: che tutte le cose sono diverse, che le cose della notte non possono essere spiegate durante il giorno, perché non esistono allora, e la notte può essere un momento terribile per le persone sole una volta iniziata la loror solitudine". L'opera rappresenta la signora della notte, ovvero colei che si mostra forte e sicura, convinta di poter gestire le emozioni più buie, come il senso di solitudine e la paura. 

This painting was inspired by a passage of Hemingway's novel "A farewell to arms": "I know the night is not the same as the day: that all things are different, that the things of the night cannot be explained in the day, bacause they do not then exist, and the night can be a dreadful time for lonely people once their loneliness has started". The painting represents the lady of the night who is showing her strength and confidence, sure to be able to manage the darkest feelings as loneliness and fear.
