SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST

Bruno Mertens lives and works in Ghent (Belgium). His recent work is determined by the elements order and chaos, construction and destruction. Lines are pulled by repetition, scratched in layered matter and provide nuances in the structure.  The result is a mosaic of uneven surfaces that each find their own existence in mutual harmony within the boundaries of the work.
