Carligraphy is a work challenging the combination of ricepaper and a car tire used as "ink brush". The idea to use the traditional Chinese materials in a modern interpretation uses the pattern of the car tire as interpretation of writing :
The love of the artist father towards his adopted son is imprinted throughout the time they have been together. From pitchblack areas through fading tones until the ink is used up. The concept is based on the fact that a fathers love will not change through out the years but he has to let the son go his own way, the pattern of the tire gets moe and more visible the less ink is on the paper - the education and support during a fathers live sometime only reviels once he is gone yet the memories stay.
